We’re looking for a highly collaborative, hands-on individual to join the Herman Miller Retail team in APMEA that will be responsible for helping to grow the retail business across China & Hong Kong. This role will partner with global counterparts to develop marketing strategies to drive traffic, awareness, acquisition, retention and ultimately sales.
You’ll support the Herman Miller China & Hong Kong eComm stores and a growing network of China Wholesale retailers with plans to expand in all the channels.
Essential Job Responsibilities
1. Campaigns: collaborates with North American and global marketing counterparts to develop creative, strategic and brand appropriate omni-channel marketing campaigns with clear audiences and objectives for the China-Hong Kong markets, ensuring brand consistency globally, while driving impact regionally.
a. Works cross functionally and with digital, creative, social media, merchandising, PR and retail teams to implement and execute campaigns across all channels.
b. Collaborates in the seasonal planning process to ensure regional needs are met. Provides briefs and timelines for marketing initiatives and assets to execute regional campaigns.
2. Digital Marketing: manages strategy in partnership with global digital agency for all aspect of regional performance marketing (SEO, PPC, display), paid social, and affiliate marketing – from planning to execution to analysis.
3. Calendar: maintains and updates global integrated marketing calendar to ensure transparency to global marketing teams.
4. Promotions: identifies and executes promotions within the China-Hong Kong markets to drive revenue, traffic, awareness, and liquidate inventory as needed.
5. Customer: identifies consumer insights and customer journey. Develops and executes strategies to drive acquisition, retention, AOV and LTV.
6. Email/Equivalent: delivers the production, segmentation, deployment and measurement of all outbound emails/equivalent (scheduled and triggered).
7. PR-Social: partners and works collaboratively with PR-social media teams globally to help plan and execute strategies to support regional markets.
8. Product Launches: supports all product launches and assortment expansion with appropriate marketing support.
9. Events: assists in execution and measurement of regional marketing initiatives such as events to drive qualified traffic to Wholesale retailers’ stores as well as HM eComm.
10. Reporting: establishes and tracks regional KPI’s. Reports monthly and quarterly.
11. Partnerships & Brand Ambassadors: helps to manage current partnerships and events and collaborate with marketing team to seek new opportunities. Provide creative recommendations, suggestions and thoughtful analysis that always prioritizes expanding brand awareness.
12. Advertising: identifies offline paid media opportunities to drive traffic, awareness, acquisition, retention and ultimately sales.
13. Wholesale: provides marketing materials/alignment and support to wholesale partners in China in collaboration with the Herman Miller APMEA Retail Wholesale marketing directions.
REQUIREMENTS
1. 5-8 years of marketing experience, preferably in multiple channels at a retail, entrepreneurial or digitally-native business, and where D2C e-Commerce, physical, and Wholesale physical and eComm coexist.
2. Strong digital marketing skills and experience managing performance marketing
3. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
4. Understanding of office software and comfort with learning new applications.
5. A drive to constantly improve processes and find new, better ways to work efficiently.
6. Willingness and excitement to be flexible and helpful across multiple parts of the business.
7. Motivated self-starter with high energy level, a passion for design and a willingness to do what it takes to create great work.
8. Works well in a highly collaborative environment.
9. Extremely organized and efficient, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work on multiple projects at once, meeting tight deadlines.
10. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
11. Both Chinese/ Simplified Chinese and English languages and experience in China essential.
