  • Strategic planning of relevant activities in line with overall Brand & Product direction.
  • Act as a role model for integrity & compliance activities for the team to lead.
  • Act as Go-to-market manager for TEV topics
  • To lead, steer and align central projects/activities in the Events, Sports and Sponsorship team according to the set targets of BMBS, specifically with regards to brand and product marketing strategies, retail and regional support.
  • To develop well aligned and integrated experiential brand and/or product events and sports marketing/sponsorship platform strategies; steer and coordinate communications; steer and direct agencies and projects to enable goals and objectives to be met
  • To identify and evaluate opportunities and directions in the field of sports marketing and sponsorships; aligning with global and local strategies; ensuring optimized and effective ROI; supervise and coordinate communication, implementation of all sponsorship activation
  • To drive the Mercedes-Benz Driving Experience platforms, developing and maintaining a professional driving instructor pool and required resources for activation and project support on central and regional levels
  • To steer and coordinate all related budget planning, process reporting and controlling
  • To steer internal and external teams in project and daily management processes; supervision of vendor management and vendor selection according to internal policies and guidelines
  • To drive and enable cross-functional and cross-departmental communication and coordination relevant to all projects as well as related regular tasks
Task Designation
  • Working closely with supervisor and key marketing function heads/team leaders in planning, developing and tailoring experiential, sponsorship and TEV activities, content approaches and integrated brand/product campaigns, retail support etc.
  • Leading the team in all related project strategy development, planning, implementation and third-party management throughout the creative process and execution of live marketing and experiential communication, including - but not limited to - central product launches to support all brands (MB, AMG) and product lines, within Mainland China.
  • Maintain, build and manage all sports assets and sponsorship platforms -on the key pillars of golf, tennis, motorsports, branded venues and lifestyle. Integrated sponsorship activation, with regular ROI tracking, asset management and competitor intelligence monitoring. Manage, monitor and report on results and analysis of sponsorship KPI and post-project evaluations.
  • Manage the Mercedes-Benz Driving Experience (MBDE) platform, building and maintaining a dedicated pool of professional instructors, servicing centrally and/or regionally driven activation in retail activities, product launches and special events.
  • Managing and driving the Mercedes Trophy platform, leading all annual activities and tournaments on regional and national levels, as well as key market interface for related HQ matters/activities.
  • Supervise, manage and report on integrated budget planning/control for planned, ongoing and completed projects and platforms.
  • Regular team management, integrity enforcement, talent development and direct-report routine and task management; HR related process tasks and internal communication.
  • Develop and maintain consistent update and regular communication with relevant headquarter counterparts; information and coordination with JV partner on relevant projects/tasks.
QualificationsEducation
  • University degree, preferably in Marketing Communications or related subject area
Skill & Experience
  • Deep expertise in marketing communication field highly preferred
  • Extensive understanding of integrated marketing and experience in developing and steering campaign concepts and live communications activation
  • Hands-on and extensive marketing and project management experience: steering and leading internal and external teams in all related campaign tasks and projects
  • Outstanding inter-personal skills and presentation abilities
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Willingness and ability to adapt to a variety of ethnic cultures and personalities.
  • Team leader with good ability to lead, execute and achieve results from team, partners and suppliers
  • Ability to plan, implement and monitor project budgets and process management, project and team execution /management
