- Develop and implement procurement strategies for the company's operations in China, including sourcing, supplier selection, and contract management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as engineering, operations, and finance, to understand their procurement needs and provide timely support.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers to secure the pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
- Conduct supplier evaluations and audits to assess their performance, capabilities, and compliance with the company's standards and requirements.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality and reliability.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes that may impact procurement operations, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Implement and maintain effective procurement processes, systems, and controls to optimize efficiency, accuracy, and transparency.
- Lead a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance management to drive high performance and continuous improvement.
- Monitor and report key procurement metrics and KPIs to senior management, highlighting areas of improvement and opportunities for cost reduction or process optimization.
- Collaborate with procurement professionals in other regions to share practices, leverage global supplier relationships, and streamline procurement operations.
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, specifically in the semiconductor industry.
- Strong knowledge of local market dynamics, supplier base, and procurement practices in China.
- Demonstrated experience in contract negotiation, supplier management, and cost reduction strategies.
- Excellent leadership abilities with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese is required.
