- Primary responsibility for supporting the launch and development process of new products by providing quality engineering expertise while working with the Region quality engineer and the suppliers.
- Assessment of project risks and areas where a supplier requires assistance and training to ensure a successful design and launch.
- Recommend design changes to the design team or process changes to the supplier to ensure quality level requirements are met and product performance expectations achieved.
- Onsite review of quality plans and development of plans as needed with the supplier.
- Support of the new product launch team when they visit the Asia suppliers. Provide supplier quality sample review report in ESL and supplier quality report for MSL and MP within 3 working days. Check issue tracker and report close status in quality report.
- Development / update of quality specification documents if not provided by the USA project team and training and communication of these requirements to the suppliers and the QCE inspection team.
- Support the supplier selection and approval process by performing factory assessments.
- Lead the ongoing monitoring and improvement of supplier quality systems by performing quality system assessments according to plan.
- Involvement in the training and development of new suppliers to ensure that they are prepared with the required systems and skills to successfully launch a new product with the Baby organization from a quality perspective.
- Facilitation of supplier corrective action activity required as a result of product audits, customer audits, or field issues. Must lead the supplier through the process of problem definition, root cause. analysis, solution finding, implementation, and verification.
- Must perform in process audits to verify quality systems are being maintained and that they are effective at suppliers.
- Perform product lot audits as needed.
- Lead continuous improvement on process/product/system.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Product Safety, Regulatory Affairs, or closely related field required
- Computer skills (Excel, Word, Power Point, Power BI etc.).
- Electrical ( adapter/motor/PCBA/batter) experience.
- 3 years' experience or above within quality, supply chain, manufacturing and/or related field.
