- Supplier Development:
- Category management – Work with and support Procurement’s strategy in establishing supply base that is capable to meet the requirement from various BU across entire company
- New Product Development – Early involvement to support the activities that are related to supplier and material
- Engineering change – Support supplier and material related changes from category management perspective
- On site audit – risk assessments to new and current suppliers; work with supplier to develop capable and stable manufacturing processes
- Critical risk supplier – identify worst performed supplier, work with the affected supplier to develop and implement “get-well” plan, until supplier improve the performance
- Supplier engagement – develop and build good relationship with supplier"
- Robust Material Qualification:
- Establish robust material qualification process [e.g.; PPAP] to ensure all materials are properly qualified before release for production – New material and engineering change
- Material Qualification / PPAP review and approval (Before SOP). Use PAF (Print Acceptance form) as driven by PUR, to ensure clarity in drawings/specs and reviews with suppliers
- Support customer PPAP request
- Timely completion and submission "
- SDE metrics [NPD Incident Rate, Critical Risk Supplier List, Supplier on-site audits, Category DPPM]
- Track metric performance
- Perform data/trend analysis – deep dive to identify root cause, source of issue and improvement opportunity
- Work with supplier & internal cross-functional teams to drive and implement improvement actions"
- Supplier quality and supplier performance management during Safe Launch period
- Support and work with plant SQE in ensuring consistent material quality supply to operations
- Support plant SQE on supplier and material issues for incidents related to product design and during PPAP and safety launch period
- Work with Procurement on supplier score card monitoring
- Minimum 5+ years experience in Supplier Quality / Supplier Development
- Experience with ISO/TS - IATF and familiar with 5 core tools --FMEA, APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA
- Knowledge on VDA 6.3 auditing
- Ability to analyze
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office and basic knowledge of SAP
- Able to handle multiple tasks efficiently and shift priorities as necessary
