In 2021, Littelfuse had net sales of $2.1 billion.Reporting to the Operation Manager, you as a Sr. Automation Engineer will be responsible for leading the design, development, implementation, and optimization of automation systems and solutions to improve operational efficiency, reduce manual intervention, ensure system reliability, and support the company’s business goals.About the job:
  • New automation machine/process concept design to set up automatic process for new product & manufacture requirement (20%)
  • Existing process modification or upgrade to meet new automation manufacturing process needs (15%)
  • Automation machine specification set up after work with internal customer and make sure meet quality/cost requirement (10%)
  • Supplier capability review and machine specification confirm (10%)
  • Communicate with internal function team and supplier for machine design review (10%)
  • Automation project management, timeline set up, update and control to meet the delivery date (10%)
  • Work with operation and finance team to set up financial justification document for the new automation equipment (10%)
  • Support on other cost reduction/quality improvement/efficiency improvement project (10%)
  • Other tasks assigned by the leader (5%)
About you:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automation Engineering or a related field
  • 8+ years working experience on automation machine design or automation project
  • Be familiar with all kinds of automation standard parts
  • Strong logic analysis ability and failure diagnosis ability
  • Skillful in using CAD software or other 3D design software is preferred
  • Skillful in PLC program, vision system development is preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office suite
  • Basic knowledge on ISO9000 / IATF16949, automotive experience and exposure is an added advantage
