- Develop and execute a comprehensive People Plan aligned to the Studio Tour’s opening and ongoing operational needs.
- Shape a long‑term HR roadmap informed by business priorities and frontline operational realities.
- Finalize People & Culture team structure and hire a high performing team across all disciplines. Manage and coach this team to deliver exceptional business results.
- Support General Manager with hiring Leadership team and Management for the Studio Tour, ensuring a robust and transparent recruiting process.
- Manage high‑volume recruitment across operations, retail, guest experience, technology, marketing, commercial and support functions.
- Establish onboarding practices across all levels and large‑scale training programs that emphasize guest experience, safety, and brand alignment.
- Promote and pursue optimized operating models for talent engagement, evaluating in-house vs outsourced resources to deliver elevated business performance.
- Shape and embed a people-first culture that supports excellent guest experiences and high performance.
- Partner with leaders to ensure high performance, capability development, and talent readiness.
- Coach managers to proactively lead teams with fairness, transparency, and alignment to local cultural norms and regulations.
- Lead the organization in thinking about engaging with the next generation workforce, proactively identifying strategies to drive employee motivation and performance.
- Partner with Technology to understand the HR Technology Roadmap and support with the review and implementation.
- Drive inclusion and accessibility requirements, enabling the business to deliver on its core values and enhance the employee and guest experience.
- Oversee ER matters in partnership with leadership and Legal—balancing business needs with local Chinese employment practices.
- Ensure compliance with all PRC labor laws, safety regulations, and JV policies, including visa/work-permit needs.
- Leverage people analytics to inform decision-making and drive proactive talent, engagement, and HR solutions
- Partner across People & Culture, COEs, and JV partners to ensure organizational health.
- Define and execute on key initiatives to support business success such as policy writing and defining regular People and Culture Processes (goal setting, probations, salary reviews, bonus process)
- Establish HR Operations protocols and processes which are effective to manage a fast-moving and regularly changing workforce
- Collaborate closely with all WB Studio Tour Shanghai Employees, and Warner Bros Project team to drive collective success in the pre-opening and post-opening phases of the project.
- Maintain a strong pulse on business needs by actively participating in leadership routines.
- Keep the General Manager and Warner Bros. People & Culture Leadership informed and consulted on sensitive or critical people matters.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of progressive HR leadership in complex, multi-national company and SOE environments.
- Fluent in both Chinese and English
- Deep understanding of local labor laws, practices and compliance regulations.
- Experience leading HR for large, multi‑disciplinary teams and high‑volume customer facing or new‑opening environments.
- Experience in working across a range of HRIS and Microsoft Office products
- Strength in project management, organizational development, HR operations, talent strategy, and change leadership.
- Exceptional communication, cultural awareness, and ability to influence across levels.
