In this role, you will join Infineon’s advanced high-voltage industrial and consumer discrete power semiconductor team, where you will deepen your expertise in the technologies shaping the Future of Powering AI.
You will focus on technical Go-to-Market (G2M) activities for wide-bandgap devices, particularly Silicon Carbide (SiC) MOSFETs and SiCJFETs, as well as state of the art Silicon Super junction MOSFETs. Working closely with customers and internal teams, you will deliver expert product-level design-in support and 3rd-level technical assistance for high-efficiency, high-power-density solutions in AI server rack power supplies, battery backup systems, peak shaving units and other demanding AI-driven applications.

Key responsibilities in your new role
- Lead product innovation by developing high quality application notes, designing technical marketing materials, and supporting global road shows during New Product Introductions (NPIs).
- Act as a trusted technical partner to customers, providing expert guidance through out the qualification process, enabling successful design-ins, trouble shooting complex technical issues, identifying root causes from a product perspective and proposing effective counter measures.
- Design, build and deliver innovative customer evaluation demo boards and kits, including full hardware setup systems.
- Conduct in-depth testing, competitive benchmarking, internal verification and customer validation of prototypes.
- Actively contribute to Go-to-Market (G2M) initiatives by delivering technical product trainings to global internal teams (e.g. Field Application Engineers) and external partners, while representing the company at conferences and workshops to promote the right-fit product solutions.
- University degree in Electrical Engineering, with a specialization in Power Electronics preferred.
- 8+ years of relevant experience as an Application Engineer or Field Application Engineer in the semiconductor industry, ideally with exposure to AI server power supply applications.
- Deep technical expertise in power semiconductor technologies (Si,SiC, GaN devices and discrete power packages) and power conversion topologies, including AC/DC, DC/DC, and DC/AC applications (bridge/bridgeless PFC, LLC, DAB, Buck, Boost and related topologies).
- Strong familiarity with power electronics solutions for AI Data Centers, PV systems, EV chargers, UPS, Energy Storage Systems (ESS) and Solid-State Circuit Breakers (SSCB), particularly in topology selection and power device choice.
- Customer-centric mindset with a genuine passion for working directly with clients, including regular international travel. Proven ability tounder stand customer needs, provide expert technical guidance, and resolve complex application challenges.
- Hands-on experience in hardware design, development and testing, including circuit simulation (SPICE), PCB layout (Altium or Cadence), prototyping, and lab/real-world application testing.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin. Ability to effectively engage, influence, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders in a global, matrix organization, and to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
