Company:Qualcomm China## Job Area:Sales, Business Development & Marketing Group, Sales, Business Development & Marketing Group > Product MarketingGeneral Summary:Senior/Staff manager for industrial product management, the main coverage is:1\. Product Strategy & Roadmap Definition:
  • Support the product roadmap definition for Qualcomm IQ product line, ensuring alignment with market trends in Industry 4.0, Edge AI, and OT/IT convergence.
  • Translate complex industrial requirements into feature requirement.
  • Differentiate our offerings against competitors by leveraging Qualcomm company's existing strengths in industrial grade platforms
2\. Ecosystem & Business Model Innovation:
  • Build the Industrial Ecosystem: Identify and partner with key ISVs, SIs, ODM, OEMs, support BU to create validated reference designs.
  • Define New Business Models: Work together with sales to develop go-to-market strategies specific to the industrial sector, like new disti model, ecosystem player support model etc.
  • Establish the company's reputation in the industrial space by ensuring compliance with key Chinese industry standards.
3\. Key Account & Design-Win Acceleration:
  • Work closely with Sales and CE teams to identify and target top-tier "Lighthouse" customers in the industrials including industrial PC, Machine Vision, PLC, HMI etc.
  • Drive the Design-Win process at the architectural level, ensuring Qualcomm IQ silicon is selected for next-generation industrial hardware.
  • Act as the primary product interface for strategic customers, gathering feedback to iterate quickly and achieve rapid market breakthrough.
4\. Market Intelligence & Lifecycle Management:
  • Analyze competitor strategies in the industrial space, work with BU and sales to adjust pricing, packaging, and feature sets accordingly.
  • Monitor the industrial lifecycle in China, managing product obsolescence and ensuring continuity plans that meet industrial expectations.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years of Product Management or Product Marketing experience in the Semiconductor Industry, with a specific focus on Industrial Automation.
  • Technical Expertise: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. You must understand the hardware architecture of:
  • Industrial PCs & Embedded Systems (with Intel's industrial PC FAE experience is a plus)
  • Machine Vision & Imaging Sensors
  • PLCs & Motion Control Systems
  • HMI & Edge Gateways
  • Ecosystem Knowledge: Deep understanding of the industrial supply chain, including key OEMs, ODMs, and software partners. Familiarity with industrial protocols (EtherCAT, Profinet, TSN etc) is essential.
  • Business Acumen: Proven track record of entering new markets. Experience in defining business models that accommodate long product lifecycles and high-reliability requirements.
  • Leadership: Ability to influence cross-functional teams (R&D, Sales, Supply Chain) without direct authority.
  • Language: Fluent in English (written and spoken). [Local Language, e.g., Mandarin] is highly preferred for regional ecosystem engagement.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel domestically to visit key customers and partners (approx. 30%).
Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have)
  • Knowledge of Functional Safety standards (IEC 61508, ISO 13849) and Cybersecurity (IEC 62443).
  • Existing relationships with decision-makers at top industrial automation companies.
  • Experience with Edge AI accelerators and heterogeneous computing architectures.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of Product Marketing, Marketing, Business, Engineering, Communications, or related work experience.
OR
Associate's degree or equivalent degree and 8+ years of Product Marketing, Marketing, Business, Engineering, Communications, or related work experience.
OR
