Company:Qualcomm China## Job Area:Sales, Business Development & Marketing Group, Sales, Business Development & Marketing Group > Product MarketingGeneral Summary:Role OverviewAs a Product Manager for the Camera Product Line in China, you will serve as the key link between China market requirements and global R&D and product teams. You will support BU to define camera SoC and reference solutions for handheld cameras, IP/security cameras, and emerging camera-based products to fulfill China market requirement.This role requires translating China-specific technology trends, regulatory requirements, and customer needs into actionable product roadmaps. You will collaborate closely with sales teams to define and execute Go‑to‑Market (GTM) strategies, drive key customer Design Wins, and work with partners to build a strong camera solution ecosystem in China.Key Responsibilities1\. Market Insight & Requirement Translation
  • Systematically collect, analyze, and structure China camera market requirements across consumer, security, and industrial segments.
  • Produce PRDs and market analysis to support global BU product definition and prioritization decisions.
  • Represent the China market perspective in global product planning and roadmap discussions.
2\. Cross‑Region Product Definition Collaboration
  • Work closely with HQ Business Units and R&D teams to drive China‑market‑optimized product definitions.
  • Lead SoC specification tailoring, reference design (EVK) optimization, software SDK adaptation, and differentiated feature definition for China customers.
3\. Go‑to‑Market (GTM) Strategy & Execution
  • Partner with sales, marketing, and technical support teams to define China GTM plans, including pricing, channels, certification, lighthouse customer sampling, and product launch execution.
  • Deliver a complete and executable end‑to‑end GTM plan.
4\. Design Win Acceleration
  • Engage deeply with key and high‑potential customers at both technical and solution levels.
  • Lead PoC validation, solution tuning, and mass‑production ramp‑up support.
  • Take ownership of Design Win conversion rate and Time‑to‑Market results.
5\. Competitive Landscape & Product Strategy
  • Continuously track global and domestic competitors, including camera SoC vendors and solution providers (e.g. Imvision, Ambarella, Novatek).
  • Deliver structured competitive analysis reports and define differentiation strategies to support market breakthroughs.
6\. Ecosystem Development
  • Lead the establishment of a China camera ecosystem alliance.
  • Engage distributors, ODM/OEM partners, and solution providers to build a scalable camera solution ecosystem.
QualificationsEducation
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Computer Science, Optical Engineering, Automation, or related disciplines.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
Industry Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in:
  • Semiconductor or chip vendors
  • Camera module or complete camera system companies
  • Vision or imaging solution providers
  • Experience in product management, technical marketing, or senior application engineering roles.
  • Proven product success in action cameras, IP cameras (IPC), automotive, or industrial camera products is a strong plus.
Technical Depth
  • Solid, system‑level understanding of camera technology stacks and industry ecosystems.
  • Ability to independently perform technical feasibility assessments and solution architecture selection.
Business & Execution Capability
  • End‑to‑end product lifecycle management experience.
  • Familiar with BOM cost modeling, pricing strategies, GTM execution, and Design Win management processes.
Collaboration & Communication
  • Strong bilingual (Chinese & English) communication skills in both technical and business contexts.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with overseas BU/engineering team and China‑based customers, with strong cross‑cultural collaboration and problem‑solving capabilities.
Compliance & Standards Awareness
  • Familiar with China audio/video, security, and data compliance regulations, including but not limited to:
  • GB/T 28181
  • Cybersecurity Law
  • Data Security Law
  • Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL)
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of Product Marketing, Marketing, Business, Engineering, Communications, or related work experience.
OR
Associate's degree or equivalent degree and 8+ years of Product Marketing, Marketing, Business, Engineering, Communications, or related work experience.
OR
High school Diploma or equivalent and 10+ years of Product Marketing, Marketing, Business, Engineering, Communications, or related work experience.*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
