  • Maintain relationships with senior leadership and winemaking teams at partner sites
  • Enhance TWE's understanding of production regions and identify potential new partners to achieve quality and stylistic targets
  • Oversee partner wineries quality improvement initiatives and long-term capacity planning, including partner expansion programs
  • Vintage specific operations as required, including vineyard assessments and harvest scheduling.
  • Lead Crush planning, fermentation monitoring, maturation monitoring, and related processes up to bottling
  • Track bulk wine status: implement sampling/monitoring plans, report deviations promptly, and coordinate corrective actions
  • Quality assurance of all responsible wines through periodic organoleptic and chemical monitoring, to ensure suitable style and quality is maintained.
  • Contribute to wine classification and blending plans
  • Own bulk wine transition plans between wineries/bottling sites per production schedules, collaborating with China COO Supply Chain to maintain quality standards
  • Coordinate winemaking materials/additives procurement with the winemaking team
  • Travel as required to perform vineyard assessments
General
  • Ensure the destination is zero harm by constantly reviewing and monitoring safe work systems, environment, equipment, and employee behaviours.
  • Lead by example as per the TWE DNA, the Supply Way and utilising the TWE Leadership Attributes
Health, Safety & Wellness
  • Serve as a role model for TWE Standards, regional/site policies, and guidelines to ensure a safe workplace for employees and contractors.
  • Assist in development of safe methods of work through risk assessments and job safety analysis as well as ensuring all SOP's and documents in the cellar are reviewed and updated as per company standards.
  • Report safety, quality, and process improvement issues to relevant teams and raise notifications in MyQI and MyHSE systems and complete assigned actions including active involvement in investigations/Root Cause Analysis where required.
About you
  • Tertiary qualifications ideally with winemaking background or wine business degree
  • Leadership experience in a manufacturing/production site
  • Significant winery or food processing experience
  • Wine making experience desirable
  • Ability to interact with & influence people managers and team members
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships at all levels both internally and externally to achieve results
  • Commercial and business acumen
  • Experience in initiating continuous improvement
  • Intermediate to advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Fluent in both English and Mandarin
