- Drive competitiveness of device suppliers
- Support sourcing strategy out of China (e.g. in Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, etc.)
- Provide support to Advanced Development team on new technologies, product roadmap
- Manage supply chain risks
- Purchasing Strategy Definition
- Define, deploy and implement the purchasing strategy for each commodity group of Key Components of his portfolio including supplier risk assessment and risk mitigation plan.
- Ensure the availability of purchasing market intelligence and supplier technology roadmaps of the assigned commodity groups.
- Lead and drive technology/product roadmaps alignment between key component suppliers and BISSELL Engineering, Marketing and Purchasing teams.
- Define, deploy and implement the Approved Vendor List for Key Components
- Strategic Costs Management
- Negotiate competitive buying prices and volume allocations (in case of shortages) on key components
- Continuous competitive costs / performance benchmarks
- Supply Base Management and Development
- Lead supplier allocation decisions based on the Approved Vendor List for all assigned commodity groups in existing businesses and in New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.
- Drive standardization of Key Components to create leverage and enable supplier base reduction.
- Develop local supplier base close to OEM’s locations
- Responsible for Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) of Key Components, drive improvement plan
- Lead and support project buyers in decisions related to supplier design-in, sole/single/second sourcing, product life cycle pricing and Early Supplier Involvement in each NPI project.
- Mitigate supply risk via risk assessment and contingency plans
- Support and drive Advanced Development teams on new technologies to find and select suppliers to answer their needs.
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Candidate with experience in Electronic PCBA Design is prefer
- Experience level: at least 5 years experience in Global, Strategic or Project Purchasing, preferable within an international consumer goods company.
- Proven capabilities to lead the multilevel business relationship between a global company and its suppliers.
- Demonstrated success to negotiate complex and >100M USD purchasing contracts with strategic suppliers
- Bilingual (English)
- Strong proficiency in generating reports / verbal and written communication skills
- Strong Electronics PCBA design background
