- Act as the main point of contact for clients interested in entering or expanding in the Chinese market.
- Build and maintain a close and continuous relationship with each client, understanding their specific goals and challenges in Chinese ecommerce.
- Keep clients informed about changes in the Chinese digital landscape, local regulations, and consumer trends, providing them with up-to-date analysis and insights to support informed decision-making.
- Design tailored ecommerce strategies for each client based on their industry, target audience, and specific goals in the Chinese market.
- Collaborate with the digital marketing team to implement SEO, SEM, and social media campaigns targeting the Chinese audience, ensuring effective performance that meets client goals.
- Suggest initiatives like opening online stores on local platforms (JD, Tmall) or social media strategies on Douyin (TikTok in China), Xiaohongshu, and WeChat to boost product visibility and sales.
- Work closely with internal teams (marketing, logistics, technical support) to ensure alignment in operations and campaigns.
- Monitor campaign performance and adjust strategies as necessary, keeping stakeholders informed of progress.
- Suggest cross-selling and upselling options based on emerging trends and complementary products.
- Recommend new channels or innovative digital product offerings, such as Douyin, that align with the growth strategy of each client.
- Quickly manage any technical, logistical, or compliance issues that arise, acting as a liaison between the client and internal teams.
- Assess compliance risks and propose preventive solutions to minimize any disruptions to clients' operations in China.
- Use data analytics tools to understand campaign performance and consumer behavior, offering periodic reports and strategic recommendations.
- Develop reports that highlight ROI and key metrics to help clients understand the impact of their digital presence in China.
- In-depth Knowledge of the Chinese Market: Familiarity with ecommerce and digital marketing in China, including strong knowledge of platforms like Tmall, JD, Douyin, and Xiaohongshu.
- Technological Adaptability: Ability to quickly learn and use data analysis tools, campaign management software, and emerging platforms in the Chinese market.
- Cross-Cultural Communication and Negotiation: Excellent skills for interacting and negotiating with international clients and Chinese providers, understanding cultural sensitivities and adapting to local communication styles.
