You will benefit from a number of training modules we have developed to address the fundamental skills required of this profession. In addition to gaining an understanding of the industry and first-hand experience of working closely with the team, you can expect to develop confidence, critical and marketable skills by engaging in or assisting with many of the following activities:
- Preparing different types of communication materials, e.g. press releases, media pitches, bylined articles, briefing documents, fact sheets, executive biographies
- Contributing to the agency’s social media platforms
- Participating in strategy meetings, brainstorming sessions, media interviews, events and research studies
- Conducting research and analysis using the latest research tools
- Building relationships with journalist, bloggers, and other members of the media
- Assisting in planning and execution of photo shoots and special events
- Supporting with the management of crises and learn how to respond in an effective manner
- Maintain an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Be a junior or senior in college
- Strong organization, communication and time management skills
- Good team player with positive attitude, enthusiastic and self-motivated
- Proficiency in social media platforms, and additional skills with Photoshop, Illustrator and other photo-editing software will be an advantage
- Have a high proficiency in both written and spoken English. and Chinese
- Applicants are responsible for transportation to and from the Internship experience
- Willing to commit to at a minimum of 5 full-days/week
- Hours can be flexible and will depend on the student’s class schedule, course requirements (if applicable) and availability
- A stipend will be provided based on the program duration
