Legal CounselGeneral Summary:JOB OVERVIEW:Qualcomm is seeking an experienced litigation attorney to join our legal team to support the company's businesses when involved in patent and other IP litigation, commercial disputes, antitrust and competition-related matters, and related legal issues.PRICIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Providing legal advice and representation to businesses involved in patent and other intellectual property litigation, antitrust and competition-related disputes, commercial litigation and other similar legal issues. The position requires knowledge intellectual patent law as well as procedures for litigating matters before courts and relevant administrative agencies.
- Managing and lead teams comprised of internal and external resources to achieve cost effective and successful outcomes.
- Development of case strategies and budgets as well as active involvement in litigation matters, which typically will include the management of outside counsel, factual investigations, pretrial pleadings, discovery, motions practice and dispute resolution (whether by settlement, trial, or alternate dispute resolution such as arbitration).
- The position will also provide opportunities to become involved in preventative initiatives and the development and delivery of training on various legal subjects.
- Periodic travel within China and outside China, including the USA will be required.
- Six or more years employment experience as an attorney specializing in intellectual property litigation or antitrust/competition law at a law firm, in-house litigation counsel, or as a judge in the Chinese court system
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken

- Bar membership in China.
- Work experience in the telecommunications or semiconductor field.
- Experience in leadership position(s) in legal or industrial professional organizations.
- Familiarity with international law regarding intellectual property and antitrust/competition law
- Previous study at a law school or work experience at a law firm or in-house at a company outside of China, particularly in the United States.
- 8+ years of relevant experience as counsel at a law firm or in-house.
- Active bar license to practice law in the state or jurisdiction where the employee will be practicing (or ability to obtain upon hiring).
