Be an active business partner to GEHC China HFS business and BD team, providing ongoing legal advice to business and working with business to identify strategic opportunities to increase growth/reduce costs in a highly regulated environment.
Drive projects, transactions, new scheme feasibility study to move forward, with flexibility and solution provider mindset.
Oversee emerging risks as well as corrective actions, and implement strategies that will protect the business and manage business risk.
Support compliance investigations and compliance projects as appropriate
Monitor disputes and litigations and supervise external counsels with controlled budget.
Anticipate and drive solutions for unassigned legal and business issues and growth initiatives.

Qualifications and Requirements

Attorney qualification in China.
Attorney qualification in other countries (U.S., U.K, etc.) is a plus.
A minimum of 10 years of business law experience at a large international law firm and/or a multinational corporation’s legal department, including drafting, negotiating, and closing complex business transactions in a regulated environment.
Experiences in JV and M&A transactions, PE/VC investments, and/or financial leasing are required.
Expertise in anti-trust and/or litigation is a plus.
Demonstrated experience identifying and resolving complex legal issues quickly and effectively.
Demonstrated experience prioritizing conflicting demands from multiple business clients in an extremely fast-paced environment.
Experience of the Healthcare industry and previous exposure to medical industry regulations is preferable.
Ability to effectively communicate in both English and Chinese.
