- Respond to customer phone calls and/or emails regarding issues related to WDM products.
- Research, diagnose, troubleshoot, identify, and resolve customer's network issues related to WDM products; if necessary, provide onsite tech support to key customers.
- Independently conduct client follow-ups and issues follow-ups.
- Accompany to customers' sites for meetings and issues follow-ups • When necessary, conduct client environment simulation - recreate client networks to determine the feasibility of WDM products in customer environment.
- Log all support cases into the company CRM.
- Handle initial RMA inquiry and determine whether returns are necessary.
- Establish training materials, agenda and conduct technical training for clients.
- Analyze specs provided by customers suggest products that conform to those specs.
- Assist customers in their Optical network design and recommend appropriate WDM products. • Assist distributors and partners with cross-referencing third-party products to WDM products. • Assist front-end (Sales or Market) by conducting WDM product introduction and communicating DWM value proposition to prospective customers.
- Attend trade shows and industry events as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends and customer needs and communicate information to appropriate internal stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering in computer related field
- 8+ years design experience of Linux embed products and optical communication related products
- Proficient in C/C++ language program
- Be good at the development of software application protocol, such as CLI, TL1, SNMPV2/V3, WEB etc
- Have good knowledge of the embed platform of the ARM, DSP, Powerpc83xx, x86 etc
- Proficient in the software development of linux os application and driver
- Knowledge of hardware and optical design;
- Familiarity with manufacture process;
- Familiarity with optical system integration equipment design
