Senior Staff Engineer for Magnetic / Layout Engineer / (Magnetic, PCB, Test & Measurement)_3904

• Define and design planar transformer/magnetics requirements and implementations: derive turns ratio, inductances (Lm/Llk), flux density limits, core/material selection, operating frequency, insulation system, and temperature rise; model/simulate (FEM/analytical) core/copper/AC losses and leakage/stray capacitance; specify winding/PCB stack-up/via strategy and shielding to meet efficiency, EMI, isolation, and reliability targets.
• Design planar magnetics placement/return paths, optimize copper/vias for loss and thermals, and integrate cooling hardware (air/water), TIM, and isolation materials.
• Own schematic-to-layout execution for AI power conversion boards (stack-up, high-current routing, creepage/clearance, isolation).
• Minimize hot loops, implement Kelvin sensing, manage high dv/dt nodes, and partition power vs control domains for noise robustness.
• Build/maintain automated test & measurement setups and fixtures for bring-up/characterization; support fast debug/rework (probe strategy, solder/de-solder).
• Ensure DFM/DFT/EMC readiness and coordinate with ECAD constraints and component selection (CoolSiC™/CoolMOS™/OptiMOS™, EiceDRIVER™, XDP™ sense routing).

• BSEE/MSEE in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with 4-8 years of experience.
• Strong PCB layout experience for high-power/high-speed mixed-signal systems (current, voltage, isolation, EMI).
• Experience designing planar transformers/magnetics for high-frequency power converters (loss/thermal/EMI/isolation tradeoffs), including characterization and correlation of models to lab results.
• Practical lab skills: instrumentation, probing, measurement repeatability, debug and rework.
• Familiar with DFM/DFT, creepage/clearance standards, and thermal-aware layout practices.
• Open-minded, communicative; able to work under pressure and independently.
