- Serve as the lead for cultivating and developing relationship and engagement with governments and institutions in the region
- Contribute to the development of the Forum's value proposition for government and public sector institutions in Greater China, focusing on the leading government institutions
- Execute long-term strategy and action plans to engage government and public sector constituents, in Forum’s meetings and initiatives
- Monitor and analyse strategy and policy priorities of governments to ensure the Forum’s work in Greater China is relevant, cutting edge and up-to-date
- Contribute directly to the preparation and execution of the Annual Meeting in Davos and the Annual Meeting of the New Champions held in China by working closely with government institutions including NDRC, MFA, multiple ministries, host cities’ governments, local governments, foreign embassies and other stakeholders
- Collaborate with wider teams of the Forum to ensure that China-related issues are well integrated into the overall work of the Forum and provide expert knowledge on China-related issues internally
- Lead on Forum leadership’s visit to the region and their participation in high-level events organized by local organizers, including drafting speeches
- Maintain data and documents in Forum’s systems
- Take on other ad hoc tasks from global CRTG team, Beijing Office or Geneva Office
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Public Affairs, Law, Economics, International Relations, Language or related fields
- 7 to 12 years’ professional experience in a ministry in China or with extensive experience in roles of government affairs, public policy for a multinational company, international organizations or NGOs in China
- Deep knowledge of Chinese government, functions and legislative processes at central, regional and local levels
- Strong sense of integrity, responsibility, interpersonal skills, agility and service attitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Mandarin and English, including presentation skills
- Strong ability to partner, develop and maintain positive, professional working relationships both internally and externally
- Motivated self-starter who enjoys working in a cross-cultural, fast-paced, demanding environment
