My client is in the process of constructing a 40,000SQM Cold Chain facility in East Shanghai and as such, are looking to hire a Commercial GM who will be tasked with leasing out the Warehouse to customers.As GM, you will be expected to devise the business strategy for this new cold chain facility, with a key focus on how you will find and recruit customers to lease the warehouse. You will be accountable for contract negotiation, relationship management, providing technical advice and ultimately the entire P&L of the site.You will need to build and recruit your own team as you deem necessary and will be accountable for devising their roles and their development.Renowned Far East, Integrated Logistics solutions provider|A senior leadership role, reporting directly to the Group CEOIn order to be considered for this position, it is essential that you have substantial experience in Cold Chain Logistics, with a specific track record in Leasing. This is NOT an Operations role but if you have some Ops or Facilities Management experience in regards to Cold Chain Warehouses, this will be considered an advantage, but not a must have. You MUST have experience in Cold Chain Warehouse Leasing.It is also preferred that you are fluent in Mandarin and English. English will be the common language used with the executive team, who are from Hong Kong.My client is a provider of End-to-end cargo solutions for shippers and consignees located on other continents and is considered one of the first foreign logistics service providers to enter the China market.Trading in four brands, my client operates in over 40 countries through branches and subsidiaries, with over 9,000 staff.As part of their strategy to develop their service offering in Cold Chain Logistics, they are currently developing a 40K SQM site in Shanghai, to be completed early-Mid 2024. This will be their first Cold Chain facility in Greater China.This role reports directly into the CEO and will therefore mean your role will have significant visibility across the business. You will be given autonomy and freedom to perform the role and deliver what needs to be done, but you will be working closely with the CEO, CFO and executive team.
