vary over time and is not intended to be exhaustive.The General Manager Commercial for China will be expected to build the Chinese business function under 2 brands from ground up with a clear strategic vision on what it takes to become successful in the Chinese skin care & beauty (tech) market and ensure all targets and objectives are met.The GM will have the full p&l ownership and responsibility for brand measures such as marketing planning & activation, social media platforms, new product introduction initiatives, KOL and influencer strategy & recruitment, ecommerce platforms, external creative & content agencies, ecommerce and marketing investment & ROI. The list may vary over time and is not intended to be exhaustive.Key Responsibilities:
- Build a clear strategic vision for growth and leadership in the market
- Develop brand strategy focusing on the consumer journey and how to move a consumer through the marketing funnel creating awareness, consideration, and conversion.
- Develop and execute a 360-marketing plan, based on short-term execution and long-term growth
- Lead and promote the launch of new products and marketing initiatives to obtain the large market share
- Develop the brands ecommerce channels & platforms with a strong focus on increasing traffic and conversion
- Work with local agencies and the International brand lead, to produce and review local brand and product marketing content and assets for all consumer touchpoints.
- Manage social media platforms to drive awareness, engagement, and demand within our target audience.
- Sets strategic direction for the China product portfolio and provides input to the international product teams on future product requirements
- Develop a local brand ambassador & KOL plan and effectively onboard KOL's and brand ambassadors.
- Drive the development of the brands ecommerce presence on all ecommerce and social commerce sites such as Tmall, JD.com, Douyin, WeChat, Little Red Book and any upcoming new platforms
- Measure digital KPI's, brand strength, monitor and analyse marketing activities; create reports to demonstrate effectiveness, ROI and opportunities for growth.
- Work with local trading partners and customers to develop the brands marketing plans and to help execute these plans across multiple sales channels and ecommerce platforms
- Monitor competitor marketing activity, drive results through strong understanding of category dynamics and drivers
- Work with key stakeholders/customers & suppliers to create a consumer led, category driven approach to
- Ability to process and understand and prioritize competing business needs
- Strong project management skills including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Lead a local team to perform to the high standards
