- Drive early-stage design exploration, creating sketches, 3D studies, and prototypes that shape program direction.
- Translate consumer insights and brand strategy into compelling concepts for both near-term and future pipelines.
- Deliver clear design storytelling - from moodboards to renderings - to inspire and align stakeholders.
- Refine 3D forms and surfaces to achieve best-in-class proportions, usability, and aesthetics.
- Translate concept models into production-ready CAD while balancing design intent and engineering feasibility.
- Elevate craftsmanship in part fitment, surface quality, and tactile details for premium consumer experiences.
- Apply DFM/DFA principles to ensure seamless transition from design to production.
- Resolve tooling, parting line, and assembly challenges with suppliers.
- Evaluate appearance models and prototypes with decisive feedback.
- Demonstrate mastery of manufacturing across plastics, metals, glass, and soft goods.
- Explore new trends, methods, materials, processes, and surface treatments to advance global design capability.
- Partner with global teams and suppliers to integrate innovation into future product pipelines.
- Lead prototyping and experimentation that informs both concept feasibility and long-term strategy.
- Partner with Global ID and CMF teams to ensure seamless integration of form, finish, and brand language.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product Development, Marketing, and Supply Chain to align design with business goals.
- Mentor junior designers, elevating design critique and execution standards.
- Represent Industrial Design in supplier reviews and cross-functional forums, protecting and advancing design vision.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin (written and spoken) to enable seamless collaboration with global design teams and local manufacturing partners.
- 8+ years of professional experience in Industrial Design, with a proven track record of taking products from concept through mass production.
- Exceptional form development skills - sketching, CAD modeling (Rhino, SolidWorks), and surfacing refinement.
- Strong knowledge of DFM/DFA principles, part fitment, and manufacturing processes.
- Skilled in visual storytelling (sketching, Illustrator, Photoshop, KeyShot) to inspire stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Strong strategic thinking, system-level design approach, and the ability to connect design to broader brand and business goals.
- Passionate advocate for great design and user experience, with a creative and resilient mindset.
- Ability to balance concept creativity with execution rigor.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented, with an obsession for precision craftsmanship and product feel.
- Strong communicator, able to influence global teams and suppliers across cultures through clear, concise messages and storytelling that drive impactful results.
- A robust portfolio showcasing original creative work that highlights the product development process.
- Bachelor's degree in industrial design or related field; Master's a plus.
- Be flexible for domestic and international travel.
