Job Description:About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Business Advisor to support a European industrial solutions company with operations in China. The company specializes in providing filtration systems to clients in the maritime sector. The focus of this assignment is to assess and enhance the internal collaboration and operational efficiency of its trading office based in Shanghai.The trading office currently houses several departments, including Sales, Sales Operations, HR, Finance, Engineering, and After-Sales Services. The project is to identify cross-functional inefficiencies and is seeking a seasoned advisor to help identify root causes, streamline processes, and improve team collaboration and effectiveness.Key Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth assessments of each team's day-to-day operations and inter-team workflows
Diagnose communication gaps, inefficiencies, or overlaps across departments
Facilitate workshops or 1-on-1 sessions to gather insights from team leads and stakeholders
Consolidate observations and co-develop an actionable improvement roadmap with the General Manager
Lead or support the deployment of agreed improvement initiatives
Monitor progress and provide structured updates to leadership

Ideal Candidate Profile

Proven experience in business process improvement, cross-functional collaboration, or organizational development
Strong background in industrial sectors, preferably with exposure to trading or engineering functions
Fluent in both English and Mandarin (written and spoken)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to navigate complex team dynamics
Hands-on, analytical, and solutions-oriented approach
Experience working with or advising multinational companies is a plus
