- Execute private equity investment cases, and compliance with both internal and external regulations and requirements.
- Conduct research on private equity industry according to changes in the market environment and dynamics.
- Constantly review and refine private equity investment process in accordance with changing local regulatory and AIA requirements.
- Assist Head of PE Investment in developing investment strategy and account management to support the businesses’ sustainable growth .
- Maintain a good and close relationship with both external and internal AIA China AMC’s counterparties and other third-party professionals to capture investment opportunities and facilitate investment transactions.
- Source and execute incoming private equity investment opportunities, including conducting management interview, analyzing data, performing portfolio company analysis, benchmarking performance against peers, preparing investment memo, and etc.
- Participate the negotiation with related parties on transaction structure, investment terms, and execute the investment.
- Complete internal and external process necessary for conducting investment required by local regulatory and AIA requirements.
- Conduct due diligence for co-investment and secondary opportunities, including building up financial models, analyzing market dynamics, etc.
- Assist the post-investment team to fulfil the management requirement of invested portfolios.
- Perform market research and analysis of PE industry.
- Be responsible for other tasks assigned by PE Head.
- Education–Master degree and graduate from a well-known university in China or overseas, major in finance, economics, accounting or business administration is preferred. Bachelor degree can be accepted if the candidate is exceptionally outstanding.
- Deep understanding of the relevant policies and regulations of the private equity industry, and have relevant professional knowledge and practical business operation experience.
- Experience – 1) at least 7 years of relevant experience, gained in the field of fund-of-funds, private equity funds, professional service provider for doing due diligence for fund investment, transaction advisory service provider for direct investment(Financial Due Diligence, Commercial Due Diligence, Valuation); 2) independently completed the entire process of secondary PE share transactions
- Professional Qualification – CPA / CFA preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Powerpoint, MS Office, Excel, Wind and other professional data tools for private equity investment.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Mandarin.
- Good communication and interpersonal skill.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skill.
- Accountable, efficient, focus, detail-oriented, and able to lead the team working under pressure.
