
Director General, Office of the President

- Build and maintain strong relationships on behalf of the President with all stakeholders of the Bank.
- Facilitate cross functional collaboration within the Bank to maximize operational efficiency and identify sensitive issues, if any, in consultation with the President.
- Coordinate with Vice Presidents and Directors Generals on behalf of the President on matters relating to the functional business of the Bank.
- Oversee the Bank's organizational units' work and lead quality control and improvement of processes/workflows initiatives.
- Lead the development of strategy, policy and approaches to further NDB's work on membership expansion to widen NDB's reach, influence and client base while strengthening its reputation as a robust and credible international financial institution.
- Work closely with the Corporate Secretary to co-ordinate activities of the Board meetings and related matters and advise the President accordingly.
- As and when required and as directed by the President, attend/represent the President in internal and external business reviews/meetings, as well as internal and external committees/working groups.
- Act on behalf of the President in communications with external stakeholders.
- Effectively manage communication of all confidential documents and information to and from the President's Office, both internal and external to ensure compliance with the Bank's standards and procedures.
- Provide coaching support and nurture talent to ensure continuous learning and development of the team.
- Other duties and responsibilities indicated in the organizational structure and in the Department's Terms of Reference or assigned from time to time by the President.
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant professional experience, culminating in a leadership role and position of influence, in a multilateral development bank or equivalent, global financial services organisation, or a large corporate enterprise or the Governments of member countries with a thorough knowledge of all critical operations.
- Demonstrated capacity to handle complex issues with sensitivity and tact and strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills in managing a diverse workforce.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, leading change, problem solving, communication, conflict management and resolution with high resilience and drive in achieving objectives and goals.
- Relevant experience in a multi-cultural work environment fostering a climate of teamwork and collaboration.
- Fluency in English is essential, and other languages of NDB member countries is desirable.
- Master's Degree or equivalent in a relevant professional field from a reputed university or a professionally qualified accountant.
