An iconic, British lifestyle brand is looking for a Head of Marketing, in what is a business critical ole and will be part of the senior APAC leadership team.About the roleHistorically, my client has focused on a more traditional marketing strategy using Events, PR and Retail to promote the brand. However, the current expansion in China demands that their APAC Marketing team take a more significant role globally for the business and develop highly creative content and global campaigns.In recent years the China marketing team has grown to reflect increased opportunity as my client has built their direct-to-consumer channels (retail stores and ecommerce). To meet growth ambitions, marketing needs to strengthen the brand value and awareness, drive engagement amongst a broader range of prospective customers. Reaching these through creating outstanding brand content, brand collaborations & partnerships, experiential and curated events, fostering the advocacy of a passionate customer base; driving sales through omnichannel and supporting and leveraging the growth of my clients direct-to-consumer retail channels.Reporting directly to the China Country Manager and a functional reporting line into the APAC Marketing Director, this role carries a significant degree of authority, responsibility, autonomy and planning; responsible for developing and implementing the China marketing strategy, as well as developing and managing annual budgets and rolling 5-year plans.Reflecting my clients entrepreneurial culture and unique product, marketing will look to combine practice with a desire to be innovative and not be afraid of trying new and exciting activities and methods.What we need you to do?
  • Development and execution of the China marketing strategy, informed by market consumer insights
  • On time and on budget delivery of marketing campaigns
  • Lead and develop capabilities within digital marketing, incl. CRM, ecommerce, paid media, social media
  • Elevate the APAC region by joint campaign planning and utilising joint resources

The role of the Senior China Head of Marketing requires an outstanding communicator with strong marketing skills and experience, and an ability to build and motivate a growing marketing team in a fast moving and entrepreneurial working environment. The right candidate will be a motivated, experienced, digital savvy and creative marketing professional to develop and execute my clients marketing strategy. This role will be responsible for building a high-performing China marketing team over the next 5 years; therefore, it is essential we find a strong marketing lead excited to drive the business to the next phase of growth!My client is a premium lifestyle brand that has been at the forefront of contemporary design for nearly 50 years. Founded in London UK, my client designs, produces and sells an aspirational lifestyle product used by health conscious people worldwide. Previous year, they sold their 1 millionth product and looking to further expand their brand in China through collaborations, product development and creative social media campaigns. Export for my client is now over 75% of production to 47 countries around the world and they are enjoying strong, sustained growth. In recent years they have invested in a new purpose-built factory, transformed their digital architecture, recently opened a flagship store in Beijing and many brand stores in major cities in China. The next 5 years presents an exciting growth trajectory, full of opportunities and the business in China is a key market in driving the growth for the brand.It is rare for such exciting opportunities, with a premium brand such as my client to come on to the market.
