- Plan and deliver Music across PYP/MYP (and DP where applicable), aligned with IB frameworks, ATL skills, and the Learner Profile.
- Lead ensembles (band/choir/orchestra), teaching instrumental technique, ensemble skills, theory, composition, and listening/analysis.
- Design coherent units with clear conceptual understandings; use formative and summative assessments aligned to programme criteria, with timely feedback and documented evidence (recordings/portfolios).
- Differentiate for a wide range of ages and abilities, including beginners and advanced performers; support EAL/SEN learners and integrate music technology where appropriate.
- Organize concerts, recitals, festivals, and assemblies; manage auditions, rehearsal schedules, calendars, and logistics with colleagues.
- Maintain instruments, inventory, and specialist spaces; ensure safe, responsible use and risk management.
- Collaborate with homeroom/subject teachers and coordinators for vertical/horizontal alignment and transdisciplinary links; participate in professional learning, moderation, and whole-school events.
- Bachelor’s degree in Music, Music Education, or related field; teaching qualification preferred
- Two or more years of music teaching experience; experience across primary and secondary is an advantage
- IB experience preferred (MYP Arts and/or DP Music); familiarity with PYP transdisciplinary learning
- Monthly salary of 25,000 to 30,000 RMB commensurate with experience and qualifications
- Relocation allowance of 2,000 RMB
- Annual flight allowance of up to 10,000 RMB
