- Set up, operate, and monitor bodymaker machines according to production schedules and specifications.
- Perform routine inspections, adjustments, and preventative maintenance on bodymaker equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical or operational issues to minimize downtime.
- Monitor product quality, conducting regular checks for defects and ensuring adherence to dimensional and cosmetic standards.
- Load and unload materials (aluminum slugs) into the bodymaker machines.
- Record production data accurately, including output, downtime, and quality control checks.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including Lockout/Tagout, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, maintenance staff, and other team members regarding production status, issues, and improvements.
- Assist with changeovers and setups for different can specifications.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience operating manufacturing machinery, preferably in a high-volume production environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
