- To manage and improve communications between the Hotels, Global / Regional Sales Offices and Corporate office.
- To represent the needs of the hotels towards the corporate sales & marketing functions by acting as their “spokesperson” at meetings etc.
- To represent the needs of the GSO/RSO towards the Hotels by acting as their 'spokesperson' at meetings, etc. To ensure that regular and appropriate communication is carried out with the Global Sales Offices that assist the Hotels' commercial teams in achieving their goals
- To assist the Managing Director, Greater China & Mongolia & General Manager of Key Co. with the review and approval of hotel revenue budgets and to approve appropriate pricing, costs and activities to enable them to be achieved or exceeded.
- To review Regional Sales budgets and goals, hold regular meetings and coordinate all needs.
- To hold regular meetings with the DOSM's and Director of Revenue to review marketing plans, budgeted room sales and room night goals for their hotels as well as the total chain, overall market share figures for the hotel and to review departmental operating expenses, staffing and training needs.
- To focus on driving hotels' top line revenue by developing a commercial strategy that utilizes on-property and off-property sales channels to deliver results. To work with Operations, Marketing, Revenue Management and GSO department heads to ensure hotels' commercial strategies are aligned with Kempinski corporate strategies and the priorities of the region.
- To proactively position and market each property; provides input to the hotels' commercial budgets to enable development of hotel specific strategies, etc. to drive revenue and meet property objectives.
- To hold Regional Meetings with GSO/RSO and DOS/M's in order to improve communication and procedures in the region.
- To approve and direct the setting of pricing and revenue budgets in conjunction with the development of the marketing plans, attending budget presentations and reviews as appropriate.
- To ensure successful roll out of corporate initiatives to the hotel level, such as K-Star, G-Leads, MICE campaign, Corporate marketing and campaigns initiatives, etc..
- To determine the corporate/travel trade marketing and sales strategy related to pricing and promotions to meet the objectives outlined in the Business Plan.
- To hire, retain, and continually develop diverse, high-caliber talent that makes a strong positive impact on the organization. To anticipate future talent needs based on business plans. To develop plans to address skill and resource gaps.
- To supervise & coordinate together with the relevant Hotel DOSM any pre-opening market planning for new hotels, prior to selection of the DOSM, including setting up of the pre-opening sales office and staffing the sales department (Critical path).
- To attend sales tradeshows, road shows, showcases and other events, where appropriate, on behalf of the Company.
- To assist hotels with their PR and Marketing strategy where necessary, including social media, selection of PR agencies and setting up of marketing campaigns.
- To direct and drive the hotels digital marketing strategy and review proper usage of tools. To actively support the hotel in shifting channel mix in favor of Kempinski.com. Deploy strategies aimed at growing K.com conversion. To ensure property follows right SEO/PPC strategy and utilizes all electronic channels appropriately. Safeguard brand standards on both Kempinski.com hotel websites and on Social media channels, as well as on all other online presence. Monitor and optimize ORM through ReviewPro.
- To ensure effective up-to-date reporting for all sales activities and to ensure that all salespeople have the appropriate tools and training to perform effectively and efficiently (Hotel and Regional Sales).
- To conduct regular audits and monthly reviews of all hotels in the respective region.
- To give input on the global marketing strategy and corporate product development programs to support the Corporate Marketing Department.
