
Supplier Quality Manager – Foundries & Consumables

- Ownership of the quality performance of consumables foundry suppliers in respective geography
- Performs and maintains Supplier audits of Quality Management Systems including processes and compliance to same
- Derives remarks and action plans based on above audits and ensures the follow up of same.
- Ensures execution of quality inspections activities to comply with business requirements on spec, format and timely.
- Performs quality inspections as well as coordinates with 3rd party inspection service providers.
- Monitors and optimizes the quality inspection effectiveness and costs at suppliers, considering also back-charges as per supplier SLA
- Proactively participates in supplier development in coordination with needs identified by Strategic Procurement team, Specification and Service Line Managers
- Supports the quality dossiers review in alignment with the Quality Engineering function in GBC India
- Engages in the implementation of and compliance to global quality policies, processes and reporting of KPI’s in alignment with SBL Quality function
- Engages in global quality initiatives and best practices to ensure consistency in FLS Supplier Quality
- Drives CAR (Corrective Action Report) and CAPA (Corrective Action Preventive Action) based on NCRs issued against the Suppliers.
- Reports solid line to respective Supplier Quality Management
- Min 5 years of Quality Control experience at Suppliers
- Bachelor degree, Masters degree preferably in Metallurgy or the equivalent knowledge acquired in another way
- In-depth Foundry process knowledge and well as being seasoned in reviewing technical documentation and specifications
- Demonstrated ability within stakeholder management
- Deep and broad knowledge of technical and production processes, preferably also in other materials such as Rubber, Polyurethane etc
