
Supplier Quality and Development Engineer

- Collaborate closely with R&D, production, quality, and procurement departments to ensure the smooth progress of material development. Responsible for the design for manufacturability (DFM) of materials, determine the manufacturing process and production process of materials;
- Resolve technical issues encountered during material development; Assess potential risks in the material development process and take response measures; Collaborate with suppliers to ensure material manufacturability and production efficiency;
- Cooperate with the quality department to develop the quality control process of the material to ensure that the material meets the quality requirements in the production process; Organize and establish pre-delivery verification items for materials to ensure compliance with product design requirements;
- Analyze material costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction; Organize and execute the material approval process to ensure materials meet design and quality requirements; Track the entire material approval process to ensure project timelines are met. Evaluate suppliers' quality control plans;
- Bachelor degree or above, major in materials, mechanical or electrical related. Industry experience,
- More than 3 years of working experience in material development or related fields, familiar with material development and approval process. material development experience in switchgear, machinery, automobile and other industries is preferred
- Material knowledge and process knowledge. Familiar with the performance, specifications and applications of commonly used materials. Familiar with common manufacturing processes (such as injection molding, stamping, machining, etc.), understand their advantages, disadvantages and scope of application.
- Testing ability, familiar with materials performance testing, reliability testing and other methods. Cost control, with the ability of material cost analysis and optimization, and be able to propose effective cost control schemes
- Tools & Software. Solidworks etc. Be familiar with PLM/ ERP system. Be familiar with FMEA etc. quality tools. Be familiar with DFM/ DFA process. Ability to communicate in English, both written and oral. Problem Solving Skills. Have strong problem analysis and solving ability, able to deal with various challenges in material development and approval process
- Communication and collaboration skills. Have good communication and cooperation skills, able to work effectively with suppliers and internal departments.
- Team player, able to work closely with team members to achieve project goals. Highly responsible, self-motivated and Willing to take on additional tasks. Has a positive progressive attitude under pressure to work.
