Proactively identify and track relevant tender opportunities from government agencies, hospitals, GPOs, and private healthcare providers using various portals and sources.
- Analyze tender documents meticulously to understand requirements, scope, evaluation criteria, timelines, and compliance obligations.
- Conduct feasibility assessments and risk analysis to recommend bid/no-bid decisions to management.
- Develop comprehensive bid strategies aligned with company objectives and competitive positioning.
- Lead cross-functional bid kick-off meetings, assigning responsibilities and establishing clear timelines.
- Coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Legal, Finance, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Operations, Clinical Specialists) to gather necessary inputs.
- Manage the entire bid preparation process, ensuring strict adherence to deadlines and tender specifications.
- Author, compile, and edit compelling proposal content, including technical responses, commercial offers, qualifications, CVs, case studies, and compliance statements.
- Ensure all technical specifications for medical products/services are accurately addressed and met.
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and competitive pricing models and costings in collaboration with Finance and Sales.
- Ensure proposals are compliant with all legal, regulatory (e.g., healthcare regulations, anti-bribery/corruption laws), and tender requirements.
- Prepare and assemble all required bid documentation, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and professional presentation.
- Manage the electronic or physical submission process according to tender guidelines.
- Maintain meticulous records of all bid submissions, correspondence, and related documentation.
- Coordinate and prepare for clarifications or presentations requested by the tendering authority.
- Track bid outcomes and analyze win/loss data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Stay abreast of evolving healthcare procurement policies, regulations, and market trends.
- Monitor competitor activities and analyze their bidding strategies.
- Ensure all bidding activities strictly comply with company policies and relevant anti-corruption/anti-bribery legislation
Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in tender management, bid writing, or procurement, specifically within the healthcare sector (medical devices, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, healthcare services).
Demonstrated track record of successfully managing complex healthcare tenders from identification to submission and award.Team leader or team managementIndustry Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of healthcare procurement processes (public and private), regulations, and compliance requirements.
Strong grasp of medical terminology and the specific dynamics of the healthcare supply chain.
Familiarity with major healthcare tender portals (e.g., government e-procurement sites, GPO portals).Technical Skills:
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to craft clear, concise, persuasive, and compliant proposal content.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to dissect complex tender requirements.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
