
Head of Reward, APAC

- Represents and aligns Diageo’s global Total Rewards philosophy, strategy and priorities to the needs and priorities of the region and its individual markets in partnership with key stakeholders
- Partners with market leadership teams and HR to support the delivery of talent and people priorities
- Provides advice on all key reward enablers – including market data acquisition and analysis, salary management, job evaluation, incentive plan design, policy development and total reward communications
- Directly manages and develops a team of three to deliver on all regional/market Reward priorities
- Leverages strong business acumen and deep domain expertise to serve as trusted advisor to Regional HRD, market HRBPs and senior business leaders across the region
- Ensures appropriate execution of annual compensation planning process and budget cycle; prepares and delivers summary reviews with regional leadership
- Accountable for any global Reward pillar (e.g. sales incentive plan design or recognition or performance management, etc.) and will work collaboratively across the global COE to enhance it's effectiveness
- Responsible for design, delivery and financial forecasting of all benefit programs in line with Diageo’s global benefits philosophy, strategy and standards of care
- Leads insured employee benefit renewals in partnership with regional broker and Diageo captive
- Ensures high quality benefits delivery through effective vendor management
- Stays abreast of external trends and best practices through active participation in regional compensation & benefits forum
- Develops and / or implement market leading policies, practices and programme that support flexibility, wellness and create a fulfilling employee experience
- Review & deliver a differentiated competitive total reward offerings across APAC geographies, allowing us to attract and retain the best talent / critical skillset
- Represents the needs, interests and priorities of the region to the Reward Leadership Team
- Helps shape, lead and/or participate in global total reward program & transformation projects
- 8+ years compensation and benefits management experience
- 4+ years of people management / team leadership experience
- Must be legally eligible to work in Shanghai, China
- Fluent Mandarin Chinese and English language skills
- Experience with insurance brokerage arrangements
- Advanced computer software skills including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making and time management skills
- Ability to quickly gather facts/data, analyze and formulate actionable insights
- Exceptional consultative skills, able to effectively influence stakeholders of all levels
- Understanding for the component parts of HR and how to deliver high-quality service(s) across multiple markets and client groups
- Strong self-starter who is eager to learn and has the tenacity to follow through on assigned projects to successful completion
- Familiarity with Workday and Willis Towers Watson’s Global Grading System preferred
