Its flexibility and agility enable effective collaboration with various school departments to achieve a synergistic effect.Job Description:1. Report to the Vice-President (Academic), the appointee is responsible for driving innovative teaching and learning strategies across the college, ensuring the highest standards of education are met.2. Develop and implement strategic plans for the CTL.3. Promote innovative teaching and learning methodologies, including the use of technology in teaching.4. Provide supervision and guidance to faculty members to enhance teaching quality and student learning experience.5. Coordinate professional development programmes for faculty members.6. Collaborate with academic departments and administrative units to ensure alignment of teaching and learning goals.7. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and learning initiatives.8. Establish and manage a good relationship with key external parties, including representatives of local and national government, founding partners of HKBU and BNU, and other sectors.Job Requirements:1. A PhD degree in Education or a related field.2. A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in higher education, preferably in teaching and learning.3. Demonstrated experience in leading teaching and learning initiatives.4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.6. A demonstrated commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity and inclusivity.7. Familiarity with the higher education systems in both Hong Kong and Chinese Mainland will definitely be a valuable asset.8. Appointment to this position will initially be made on a fixed-term contract of 2-3 years.
