Founded in 2005, UIC is jointly established by Beijing Normal University and Hong Kong Baptist University and enjoys a fine reputation as a pioneer in liberal arts education. Attracting top scholars from around the world, it is a campus of robust international culture, where all classroom lessons are taught in English. Long a magnet for students with ambitions of studying overseas, UIC sees many of its graduates snapped up by the world's leading universities. Our Faculty of Business and Management, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Science and Technology, School of General Education, and School of Culture and Creativity together offer a total of 30 undergraduate programmes and more than a dozen postgraduate programmes. Growing rapidly in size, quality and diversity, UIC now attracts over 9000 students to its picturesque campus in the coastal city of Zhuhai, and is actively recruiting first-class faculty members to make it a top-tier liberal arts college in China.The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) was established in January 2021, and was approved as a construction project for teaching quality and teaching reform in undergraduate colleges in Guangdong Province in the same year.CTL focuses on teacher professional development and student learning empowerment activities. Its flexibility and agility enable effective collaboration with various school departments to achieve a synergistic effect.Job Description: * Report to the Vice-President (Academic), the appointee is responsible for driving innovative teaching and learning strategies across the college, ensuring the highest standards of education are met.

Develop and implement strategic plans for the CTL.
Promote innovative teaching and learning methodologies, including the use of technology in teaching.
Provide supervision and guidance to faculty members to enhance teaching quality and student learning experience.
Coordinate professional development programmes for faculty members.
Collaborate with academic departments and administrative units to ensure alignment of teaching and learning goals.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and learning initiatives.
Establish and manage a good relationship with key external parties, including representatives of local and national government, founding partners of HKBU and BNU, and other sectors.

Job Requirements: * A PhD degree in Education or a related field.

A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in higher education, preferably in teaching and learning.
Demonstrated experience in leading teaching and learning initiatives.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
A demonstrated commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity and inclusivity.
Familiarity with the higher education systems in both Hong Kong and Chinese Mainland will definitely be a valuable asset.
Excellent command of English and Chinese are required.

Appointment to this position will initially be made on a fixed-term contract of 2-3 years.
