
Product Manager Copolymers APAC

- Own margin delivery and revenue performance for assigned product lines
- Manage product-level P&L levers including price, mix, and supply allocation
- Track and explain forecast vs. actual performance; identify corrective actions
- Partner with Finance on budget, variance analysis, and quarterly outlooks
- Monitor implementation and adherence to the Business Service Standards
- Own the consensus demand forecast (volume and price) in collaboration with Sales and Demand Manager
- Review and challenge assumptions to ensure realism and market alignment
- Lead communication of forecast risks, upsides, and changes to leadership
- Monitor forecast accuracy and implement improvement actions
- Ensure Polymer Solutions strategy implementation in APAC through planning and implementing local tactics
- Implement sustainability strategy for Polymer Solutions in collaboration with the sustainability team
- Set and manage product pricing aligned to value, cost structure, and competitive positioning
- Enforce pricing discipline and approve price support requests submitted by Sales
- Track market dynamics and recommend strategic price moves to protect or grow margin
- Partner with Sales on deal strategy and customer negotiation support
- Analyze supply and demand balances, competitor activities and market trends to inform strategies
- Lead product strategy across lifecycle stages—growth, maturity, and rationalization
- Align internal stakeholders/BMT (Sales, Supply Chain, Marketing, Operations) on priorities and actions
- Drive decisions on supply allocation, customer/product segmentation, and trade-offs
- Identify market needs and define product concepts, including sustainability-driven solutions
- Own commercial input in the stage-gate process, including business case and go-to-market strategy
- Partner with R&D, Operations, and Marketing to execute successful launches
- Track early-stage performance and adjust positioning to ensure adoption and profitability Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree (preferably in engineering, chemicals)
- Minimum 5 years of experience preferably in plastics industry, Product management (preferably producing industry), Finance (controlling), Supply Chain
- Good business acumen, commercial and leadership skills.
- Good understanding of the financials, especially P&L, cash flow, working capital, business/investment cases
- Solid understanding of operations (manufacturing, supply chain, etc.)
- Good communication and presentation skills. Structured thinker, ability to take decisions and solve problems
