- This position is for building the global team in developing core competence of PU structural adhesive. The qualified candidate will join the AMC PD team who focuses on the most attractive market for automotive components, chases the advanced technologies development for NEV, light weight, sustainable development based on polyurethane technology. The candidate plays important role to build the fundamental chemistry toolbox and create the formulation to enable customers' design.
- Leading the major chemical approaches for structural adhesive fundamental build-up.
- Leading new frame work of competitive 2K PU formulations and identify the core local supplying value chain.
- Involve in making the global strategy of structural adhesives.
- Core of development team for building new knowledge, new technical approaches, and new process to make competitive structural adhesive portfolio.
- Guide the junior chemist and build the core competence technology of PU 2K structural adhesives.
- Support global operation team to complete new product scale-up, optimize manufacturing process and solve the quality problem with related products.
- Supporting global customers and business team on solving technical problem and providing technical training if required.
- Participates in site's safety and/or 5S programs.
- Secures IP position in own area of development.
- Other assignments from PD manager.
- Master's degree or higher.
- Major in polymer science, macromolecular science, or chemistry related.
- At least 8 years' experience in product development for polyurethane adhesives.
- Experiences on 2K PU structure bonding adhesives, thermal conductive adhesives are preferred.
- Efficient experimental design capability.
- Good communication skill among cross functional teams.
- Fluent English both in written and oral.
