Job DescriptionRolls-Royce Power Systems is headquartered in Friedrichshafen in southern Germany and employs around 9,000 people. The product portfolio includes mtu-brand high-speed engines and propulsion systems for ships, power generation, heavy land, rail and defence vehicles and for the oil and gas industry as well as diesel and gas systems and battery containers for mission critical, standby and continuous power, combined generation of heat and power, and microgrids.Job Purpose职位目的:
  • Overall responsible for sustainable and profitable growth of the marine business in China Market, including Hong Kong and Macau. Achieve the sales target.
  • Develop business by sustaining existing customer base, develop new customers and penetrating in new segments.
  • Develop and define marine sales/marketing strategy by collecting and analyze competitors’ intelligences.
  • Develop marine team sales competence and succession plan for key position.
Key Accountabilities主要职责:
  • Overall responsible for the sales of all RRS group products for marine applications
  • Take ownership of China sales target for china marine market, collaborate with global marine team for global projects and customers.
  • Responsible for overall marine sales operation excellence. Managing marine projects in China Market including Hong Kong and Macau, manage distributors and system integrators.
  • Develop and implement strategic product positioning plan with cross function team and global team.
  • Responsible for Business plan and Operation plan for assigned product portfolio in the region
  • Provide the weekly or monthly reports on business activities.
  • Collect market information and assist in setting and achieving sales targets.
  • Monitor & feedback to relevant teams the activities of customers/OEMs/distributors/system integrators, the market situation and competitors’ activities
  • Attend to sales calls, enquiries and complaints & liaise with the company for the follow up
  • Review / clarify customer’s requirements / specifications and provide technical solutions / scope of supply for projects with standard scope, or non-standard scope
  • Develop and manage the distributors/System integrators, improve their competence for achieving the sales plan.
  • Responsible for setting up pricing policy, applicable for OEM / System Integrator
  • Liaise with the application team to support the Engine Sales inquiries and to the customers
  • Provide the technical specifications and define the scope of supply for the equipment
  • Provide and maintain the product and application information
  • Prepare and carry out technical presentations
  • Coordinate with Order Processing personnel on necessary procedures e.g. invoicing, shipments, delivery, etc., for the engine orders
  • Monitor and control on matters of Letter of Credit negotiation
  • Coordinate with Finance Dept. for financial procedures
  • Collaborate with functions like service team to solve the after sales issues effectively and improve the customer satisfactions.

Key Experiences and any Qualifications职位主要经验和技能要求:
  • Bachelor or above graduate in engineering or boat design related qualifications, MBA preferred as plus.
  • At least 10 years’ experience in sales and business development in marine preferred MNC, have minimum 8 years manager position by leading a team.
  • Good command of both spoken & written English.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in sales and business development.
  • Strong leadership quality, good people management skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking capability.
  • Strong team mentality, and interpersonal skills and ability to work cross a matrix organization.
  • Strong learning attitude.
  • Solid track record of delivering sustainable growth.
  • Highest ethical standard.
  • Flexibility to travel 50% plus.
