- Lead & manage daily automotive RMA analysis flow /progress
- Take ownership of Automotive RMA debug/analysis /schedule meeting with cross functional team during the process of RMA debug
- Perform test/debug activity and deliver analysis report with various cross functional team (SW/VI/design /quality etc).
- Setup lab capabilities for new projects with both physical and electrical perspective.
- Focus on local customers and manage customer quality issue solution for all Qualcomm products from customer R&D, mass production to field return
- Conduct lab test at system level test platform for returned failing devices from customer to all QUALCOMM products in China region which covers analog/digital and transceiver products from mobile, computing, automotive business
- Physical device analysis (inspection result review/ Solderability analysis with Xray/chips/ Grinding/ion milling )
- Work independent of basic functionalities and sanity test for RMA devices with electrical tests/validations
- Work with cross team for electrical analysis / SW debug or HW debug
- Draft RMA test report and conduct RMA system optimization/improvement
- Monitor key performance indicators such as Cycle Time (TAT), DPPM (Defective Parts Per Million) trends, and open RMA counts.
- Update customers in a timely fashion regarding the status of quality issues or any requests
- Work with local Application team closely for system level quality issue problem solving
- Cooperate with global CQE/PQE and related team for quality issue following up and worldwide CQE strategy implementation
- Work with local Sales/ Customer Service/ Engineering team closely especially for customer related PCN notification and following up
- Support more offshore facilities of worldwide customers
- Automotive Systems Knowledge: Understanding key components and interactions of subsystems; correlating failures to customer-reported issues.
- Baseband design and failure analysis from both mobile or automotive field is preferred
- Hands-On Lab Skills: Strong system level debug /analysis , familiar with
- Have experiences automotive Operation system with log analysis is preferred.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written skills; clear organization and articulation of information;
- Minimum 3 years of working experience as hardware R&D or Testing Engr from cell phone OEM, or AE/FAE from semi-conductor vendor with a good technical understanding, able to review customer's Block diagram/schematic/layout/test result and troubleshooting
- Good knowledge on cell phone or computing/automotive chipset product quality standard/requirement, and strong skills in problem solving for system level quality/application issue
- Strong interpersonal communication skill with customer and internal team
- Team work for problem solving
- Proficiency in English
- Being honesty and initiative
- Knowledge of quality tools and reliability concepts is a plus
- Experiences of Linux /QNX OS system is a plus
- Experiences of application and log /dump analysis for mobile/auto products is a plus
- Have background/experiences on physical analysis of chip products is a plus
- Afford for frequent domestic and oversea travel.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Applications Engineering or Hardware Design experience or related work experience.
Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of Hardware Applications Engineering or Hardware Design experience or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Applications Engineering or Hardware Design experience or related work experience.Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
