- Execute and monitor daily production activities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets in your assigned area.
- Support and lead problem-solving on the shop floor, using data and root cause analysis to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (for example, through 5S, visual management, standard work, or process optimization) to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, quality, planning, supply chain, and EHS colleagues to implement product and process changes safely and effectively.
- Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation in line with Emerson and regulatory requirements.
- Support new product introduction and engineering changes by preparing work instructions, coordinating trials, and providing feedback on manufacturability.
- Monitor equipment performance, support basic troubleshooting, and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize unplanned downtime.
- Contribute to a strong safety culture by identifying risks, participating in risk assessments, and supporting safety initiatives and trainings.
- Share best practices, help train and guide operators or junior team members, and promote a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and continuous learning.
- Practical experience working in a manufacturing, production, or operations environment (such as assembly, machining, testing, or similar areas).
- Working knowledge of fundamental manufacturing concepts, including standard work, basic quality checks, and safe work practices.
- Ability to read and work with work instructions, production schedules, and basic technical documentation (for example, drawings, specifications, or control plans).
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify issues, gather data, and contribute to root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Strong focus on safety, product quality, and doing the right thing, even under time pressure.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to work respectfully and constructively with people at all levels and from diverse backgrounds.
- Basic proficiency in using computer systems or production-related software (for example, ERP, MES, or other digital tools) for data entry, reporting, or tracking.
- A learning mindset, with the willingness to acquire new skills, adapt to new processes or technologies, and share knowledge with others.
- Education in engineering, manufacturing, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience gained in a production environment.
- Experience working in a global or multinational manufacturing company, especially in an environment focused on continuous improvement.
- Hands-on experience with lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, or similar improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (such as ISO standards) and tools such as basic statistical analysis, control charts, or PFMEA.
- Experience supporting new product introductions, line transfers, or process validation activities.
- Exposure to automated equipment, robotics, or digital manufacturing tools and a keen interest in using technology to improve processes.
- Ability to communicate in both Mandarin and English in a work setting, especially for documentation or collaboration with regional or global teams.
