- Assembles and analyzes all data pertinent to creating constrained engineering (for Engineered-To-Order businesses) and production plan, uses rough-cut and detailed capacity planning, and links it to the demand plan.
- Runs the review process and facilitates meetings.
- Obtains consensus from Engineering and Production Managers for sign-off by local unit Operations Manager and inputs it into the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
- Works with Product Management team to influence design decisions, Procurement team to better align supply and sourcing strategies, and Demand Planners to influence demand shaping activities that help improve profit, customer service, or reduce inventory.
- Prepares Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP), identifies capacity constraints, and recommends both short- and long-term solutions and mitigation plans to remove bottlenecks.
- Contributes actively to a short-term planning process.
- Connects the operations plan with the short-term production schedule.
- Determines the impact of the plan on expected inventory levels, including SIE, monitors WIP, recommends WIP rationalization initiatives, and feeds them into the Inventory Checkbook (ICBK).
- Identifies key root causes for deviation from the production plan and implements initiatives to improve adherence to plans for the future.
- Accountable for schedule adherence and supply plan attainment.
- Ensures planning bill of materials is kept up-to-date and generates material plan based on constrained supply plan.
- Demonstrates ABB’s core values and group safety and integrity standards and acts accordingly.
- Implements and ensures compliance with the ABB code of conduct, global and local standards, tools, policies, and processes in their assigned area.
- Ensures adherence to all relevant internal and statutory regulations and policies.
- Ensures integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities.
- Demonstrates an understanding of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) terms, concept application, reporting, and risks.
- Ensures adherence to the collaboration objectives of the team to maximize results for ABB.
