The primary responsibility will be to provide training for Wartsila 4-stroke engine. As Instructor, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
  • To actively take part in the day-to-day training activities/delivery.
  • Deliver the training in a keen way and under consideration of total safety and environmental impact aspects
  • Develop/ evaluate/ improve training programs and materials as well as new concepts.
  • Continue to develop your personal competence and skills.
  • Support the sales, planning and execution of training activities for customers and own personnel according to budgeted targets.
  • Develop / Administer / Implement and maintain technical training area/equipment and assessments
  • Provide technical support for internal and external customers
  • Lead or participate in projects within or outside Wartsila Land and Sea Academy for which technical knowledge and experience is needed.
  • Perform tasks designated by superior
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
  • BSc or MSc in Engineering or Marine Engineering or in similar area
  • Good interpersonal communication skills
  • Quality, safety and environmental skills
  • Desire to work in multicultural environment
  • Good command of English, both spoken and written, other languages are a merit
  • Excellent command of Chinese, spoken and written
  • Advanced knowledge and operation experience of large medium speed (4-stroke) engines
  • More than 3 years experiences in Marine and/or power plant or similar industry
If you have the following experiences, it would be a plus. We will provide the on-job trainings.
  • Experience working on Wärtsilä 4-stroke engines mechanical commissioning, maintenance and overhaul works
  • Experience working on Wärtsilä 4-stroke engines control systems (Wärtsilä Unified Controls)
  • Result- and development-oriented way of working
  • Experience in training delivery
