  • College degree or above, majoring in metal materials engineering, mechanical engineering, NDT and welding are preferred.
  • Knowledge of NDT testing methods (e.g., VT/ PT/ MT/ ET/ UT/ RT or RT film evaluation), certification according to ISO9712/ASNT, level 3 preferred. RT, phased array UT, automated NDE, or remote visual inspection experience is desired but not absolutely required.
  • Power plant inspection experience and/or expertise for Siemens Energy gas turbine or steam turbine inspection is preferred.
  • Computer skills with proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge related to the inspection of turbine/generator component is preferred.
  • High degree of flexibility, unrestricted mobility, ability to work in a team and communication skills in relation to foreign countries and cultures.
  • Willing to extensively travel domestically/internationally on short notice and work flexible hours.
  • Support the inspection of combustion turbines, steam turbines and generators at our customers' power plant.
  • Travel (up to 60 - 80% annually for this position) to Combustion Turbine and Steam Turbine sites and perform field NDE inspections per Siemens Energy requirements. Primarily domestic travel. International travel is required.
  • Assist in the development of NDE applications and tooling for use in the field.
  • Stay updated with technology & certifications.
  • Record and report the results of combustion turbine component testing on site.
  • Correctly use and maintain all NDT equipment.
