JOB REQUIREMENTSAcademic / Professional Qualification

MSc/PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, or other related data science majors
Knowledge of the technical and regulatory requirements related to the role
Experience of regulatory interactions and/or submissions

Technical / Skills Training

Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships
Collaborative - has the energy to work with R&D China & Global & across functional boundaries both internally and externally
Ability to apply statistical expertise to complex problems, problem solving and quality focus

Working Experience

Minimum 5 years of industry experience
Leadership skill to lead and direct elements of project work
Accountable for the statistical work

Duties & ResponsibilitiesTo lead the strategic and operation planning of the statistical contributions to the Development Plans, Regulatory Strategy and Submissions, Health Technology Assessment and Commercial support of AZ products.Leadership on the product so that all work is carried out with regards to AZ standards and external regulations

Developing design options and providing high quality decision support

Quantifying the benefit, risk, value and uncertainty of the emerging

product profile.

Setting the standards (and enforcing compliance) for statistical work

within the productHolding CRO/Partners accountable for the high quality standards of their deliverablesRepresent AZ and Statistics to Health Authorities and Reimbursement/Payer Organizations for specific projects/indicationsInvestigate and implement statistical approaches, for relevant statistical issues and/or regulatory guidance and/or value demonstration.Maintains understanding and awareness on new methodologies, therapy area and Development initiativesProvide leadership and direction to improvement projects/activities/initiatives and drive the implementation of best practice across the groupDevelops contacts with international opinion leaders, consultants and collaborative groupsEnsure drug projects are successfully delivered in terms of scientific leadership and resourcing【AstraZeneca is an equal opportunity employer.
