We are seeking an experienced Application Manager to lead the Sweet, Beverage & Dairy application team in China, overseeing end-to-end development of flavor application solutions. This role combines technical leadership, people management, and cross-functional collaboration to support strategic customer projects and drive innovation.1. Technical Support & Project ManagementDemonstrate strong technical expertise to support key sweet, beverage and dairy application projects and enhance category competence.Serve as the application coordinator across categories, effectively allocating team resources based on project priority and strategic importance.Participate in category initiatives and contribute to new concept development using the scientific insights and technical capabilities.Guide application technologists in translating SCI findings into high-quality prototypes and customer-ready solutions.Provide technical support to the commercial team during customer visits and technical discussions.Build and maintain close collaboration with regional and global R&D/application teams to ensure timely knowledge transfer and implementation in the China team.2. Talent Development & Laboratory ManagementLead, supervise and mentor a team of 10+ application technologists, ensuring strong performance and project execution.Develop individual career plans to strengthen team capability and support long‑term talent growth.Maintain, upgrade and optimize laboratory equipment aligned with category focus and strategic direction.Ensure a safe working environment and oversee the daily management of the Sweet, Beverage & Dairy application laboratory.Join a globally respected food ngredients company.Lead a high‑performing team while driving technical and category leadership.Bachelor's degree or above in Food Technology, Food Science, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or related field.Minimum 10 years of experience in beverage or sweet application development; experience in multinational companies preferred.Minimum 5 years of team or people management experience.Strong knowledge of sweet, beverage and dairy raw materials, processing technologies, sensory evaluation, food legislation and safety standards.Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and deliver under pressure.Strong leadership capabilities with excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.Good command of written and spoken English.Our client is a global well-known food ingredient company, serving major food & beverage manufacturers worldwide.
