For Primary and Middle School, students follows a bilingual program using the US Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards along with the Chinese National Curriculum.
For High School, the students follow the US Common Core and College Board AP curriculum and also the school offers the UK IGCSE and A-Level UK programs.Key Responsibilities: * Leadership and Vision:
- Develop and articulate a compelling vision for the Visual Arts Department, aligning with the overall mission and goals of the institution.
- Provide visionary leadership to faculty and staff, inspiring a culture of innovation, creativity, and excellence.
- Curriculum Development:
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of a comprehensive visual arts curriculum that meets the needs of a diverse student body.
- Stay current with industry trends and educational best practices to continually enhance the curriculum.
- Faculty Management:
- Recruit, lead, and develop a team of talented and passionate visual arts educators.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive environment that encourages professional growth and creativity among faculty members.
- Student Engagement:
- Ensure a positive and engaging learning experience for students, promoting a love for the visual arts and nurturing their artistic talents.
- Implement strategies to support student success and achievement in both academic and artistic endeavors.
- Resource Management:
- Manage departmental resources effectively, including budgets, equipment, and facilities, to support the delivery of high-quality visual arts education.
- Seek opportunities for fundraising and external partnerships to enhance departmental resources.
- Community Outreach:
- Cultivate relationships with the local community, art organizations, and industry partners to create opportunities for student internships, exhibitions, and collaborative projects.
- Represent the Visual Arts Department at relevant events and conferences.
- Assessment and Continuous Improvement:
- Implement assessment strategies to measure student learning outcomes and program effectiveness.
- Use assessment data to drive continuous improvement efforts within the department.

- Four-year degree from an accredited university
- Bachelor of Education, PGCE or higher
- Teaching license: QTS, national/state teaching license/certificate or equivalent
- Three years of experience teaching in a bilingual school, international school, or government/state schoolPreferred Qualifications
Minimum qualifications, plus the following:
- Masters degree, preferably in education or the subject the teacher instructs
- Five years of experience teaching in a bilingual school, international school, or government/state school
- Candidates currently living in China are preferredRemuneration & Benefits
The salary and benefits package provided is highly competitive depending on the qualifications and experiences of the successful candidate.
