29 Apr 2024Role IntroductionReports To: Head of Global Total RewardsThe job holder is the subject matter expert for all direct rewards activities globally and is accountable for designing, implementing and managing all rewards programmes and processes across multiple locations, to ensure we have the right rewards frameworks, and tools in place, effectively incentivise and recognise high performance to support the Company to achieve business objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesRewards programmes design and management
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of competitive direct rewards programmes that are aligned across all markets and are in compliance with country specific legal requirements.
  • Design and manage the implementation of employee incentive programmes; identify and respond to the needs of internal stakeholders; clarify the financial, business performance, and behavioral parameters that are to be met; ensure compliance with external legal requirements.
  • Design and manage implementation of Group incentives, including individual employee eligibility and special cases review and coordination, project and stakeholder management across internal working groups globally including subsidiaries.
  • Support the design and delivery of executive compensation programmes.
  • Plan and manage global salary structure development.
  • Manage rewards review including cross-boarder package, localisation and taxation studies and allowances review.
  • Provide support for Reward Committee, including ad-hoc analysis and modelling/ material preparation, review of all temporary and permanent reward change submissions across all employee groups.
Global total rewards advisory and management
  • Rewards advisory partner for HR business partners, Regional HR teams or line of business globally, provide COE advice on all direct rewards matters, supporting the business to acquire, motivate, retain talent, and support labour and industrial relations whilst adhering to global guidelines.
  • Review package proposals of senior managers, exceptional and cross-boarder cases.
  • Manage global job evaluation, including BAU salary benchmarking for new positions or changed roles, and ad-hoc job evaluation exercise, manage impact analyses and implementation planning.
  • Support Head of Performance & Rewards on day-to-day rewards operations, ensuring data integrity in HR systems
  • Participate in other HR or rewards initiatives and projects globally as assigned.
Management of annual compensation cycle
  • Plan and manage annual salary structure and market range review.
  • Conduct regular pay and benefits benchmarking exercises, market analyses and other cost modelling.
  • Facilitate the regular salary review, discretionary bonus, and profit share scheme processes, including planning, modelling, and implementation.
  • Manage the annual compensation management cycle, including the compensation management technology system and any releases, enhancements, or improvements.
People development and performance management
  • Manage and report on team performance; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and hold them accountable for achieving these, taking appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of team / personal objectives.
  • Lead, support and encourage own team to effectively collaborate with others achieve success and lead by example in accordance with Cathay's core values.
  • Develop employees with high potential and identify learning opportunities to ensure appropriate training and development.
  • Maintain active and ongoing dialogue in relation to employee goals and individual performance.
  • Actively engage with employees to enhance communication and their understanding of team / department goals.
Requirements
  • Degree holder plus at least 10 years working experience as in-house HR professional and/or in HR consultancy preferably in multinational / multi-geography organisations, with proven track-record in compensation & benefits, rewards, and performance management.
  • At least 2 years of experience of managing a team of people.
  • In-depth knowledge of global compensation practices, including salary structures, pay scales, incentive programs and job evaluation methodologies.
  • Excellent project management skills, ability to effectively plan, organise and prioritise multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, attention to details and high degree of accuracy.
  • Demonstrates strong stakeholder management, interpersonal and communication skills - with the ability to work with and manage relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to work under pressure and independently, following tight deadlines and an agile approach.
