The product family of Datalogic Mobile Computer are based on Smartphone platform and require implementing all the State-of-the-Art technologies of Android based product.
The products developed are complex like a smartphone and include several accessories. The ruggedness, waterproof, ergonomics and beautiful industrial design will characterize a family of products suitable to afford the need of our customers.
The candidate will work to the development of new product design, in collaboration with the other Mechanical team members, into a multicultural environment constitute by abroad Datalogic colleague as well as several external consultancy company and ODM partners.He/she will be in charge for the mechanical design of Mobile Computing products.
- Collaborate with the System Engineer and Requirement Analyst to the definition of the product technical requirements.
- Perform feasibility study of the subsystems in his/her scope of responsibility.
- Contribute to the execution of the project phase ensuring the delivery of expected functionalities within the agreed time.
- Contribute to coordinate multicultural and cross-functional projects team as well as internal and external resources (ODM) for the activities of each project.
- Take care of mechanical design aspects cooperating with the project team.
- Design mechanical parts and complex mechanical system in great autonomy using CAD software for product design.
- Drafting technical documents, specifications and technical reports.
- Definition and execution the mechanical test plan and provide support to Quality department for environmental pre-compliance testing.
- Perform assessment of competitors' products, related to the mechanics and relevant accessories.
- Contribute to the patent review for intellectual property clearance, and to generate new patents, developing relationship with Academic world and being an active member of technical community.
- Follow the consumer market trend and need to be aware of the state of the art technologies used into smartphone
- Contribute to the product life cycle by giving support to Continuation and Technical Support teams in addressing components' obsolescence and field issues.
- Some domestic and international travels are needed.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering.
- Primary language is Mandarin. Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- At least 3-6 years of experience as mechanical engineer in a medium-large company, with proven experience of work with ODM. Experience into multinational company is preferred.
- Experience of 3D modeling with NX1926 or later.
- Experience on plastic design for injection molding process.
- Advance on usage of PLM Siemens Teamcenter.
- Advanced experience in R&D design process, design review and product validation.
- Advanced experience on writing technical specification for ODM.
- Knowledge of program management is a plus .
- Experience of developing mobile devices, such as smart phone, tablet or others, is a plus.
- Experience in mechanical ingression protective design.
