The Director, Global Footwear is a senior commercial leadership role responsible for driving global revenue growth, margin performance, and strategic partnerships within the footwear category. A core expectation of this role is direct, high‑frequency engagement with global brand customers, acting as their primary commercial interface across development, costing, sourcing, and production award cycles.1. Global Brand Customer Leadership
  • Serve as the primary commercial interface for global footwear brands, managing strategic relationships across Development, Sourcing, Commercial, and Operations teams.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, pricing strategies, contract discussions, and seasonal award cycles.
  • Build executive‑level engagement to secure long‑term partnerships and category expansion.
  • Map global brand decision centers and maintain continuous communication across HQ, regional offices, and factories.
2. Business Development & Commercial Growth
  • Build and execute a global commercial strategy aligned with the company's footwear growth ambitions.
  • Identify and prioritize key brand accounts with high growth potential.
  • Secure program nominations and production awards by leveraging technical capabilities, commercial value propositions, and strong factory relationships.
  • Deliver year‑one AOP targets and sustained profitable growth with ≥30% gross margin.
3. Global Cross‑Regional Leadership
  • Drive alignment and joint execution with teams in China, Vietnam, Indonesia, India, and Bangladesh.
  • Ensure consistent commercial processes from customer engagement → product development → nomination → local production.
  • Develop and scale a high‑performing footwear commercial team as the business grows.
4. Strategic Planning & Category Marketing
  • Define the "right‑to‑win" strategy for Dongmei's global footwear category.
  • Develop category‑specific marketing materials, launch plans, and customer engagement tools.
  • Provide structured reporting on pipeline, performance, risks, and strategic opportunities.
5. Travel
  • Approximately 50% travel across major footwear manufacturing regions.

  • Global footwear brands (e.g., sport, athleisure, lifestyle)
  • Major global footwear manufacturing groups
  • Footwear‑related materials, upper/bottom components, or technical suppliers
  • Organizations deeply involved in footwear development, costing, and commercial operations
Experience & Skills
  • 10+ years in commercial, BD, sourcing, or strategic account roles within the footwear ecosystem.
  • Demonstrated success interfacing directly with global brand customers.
  • Strong understanding of footwear development timelines, costing mechanics, and manufacturing operations.
  • Highly proficient in CRM tools, Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint, and commercial analytics.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree or above.
