TasksPrimary Project Responsibility1. Chassis System Test Fixturesa) Planning, design & coordination of test bench fixtures for the chassis durability lab in the Mercedes-Benz Tech Center China.b) Ensuring on-time readiness for all fixtures & adapters to match the test timeline.c) External vendor communication & tracking.d) Coordination of onsite 3D measurements.e) Coordination of co-operation with international stakeholders.2. Chassis Planning & Retrofitf) Coordination of chassis retrofit activities.g) Alignment of demand with chassis durability, ride/ handling & driving safety Teams.h) Alignment with Tech Center China workshop.i) Ensuring planning & retrofit efficiency.3. Chassis System Testj) In coordination with int./ext. counterparts and HQ Germany - occupancy planning of the test rigs to ensure high test bench utilization.k) Participation in the further development of the test procedures and concepts used in the test laboratory in order to meet the requirements of the product and the current state of technology.General Task Description4. Cross-functional tasks based on business needs.QualificationsQualification§ University degree for automotive engineering, mechanical engineering or related engineering background.
Specialization in material science or measurement technology beneficial.
Experience & Specific Knowledge:§ Profund knowledge and experience in at least one of the following area: fatigue and durability/ chassis technology/ chassis control systems engineering or testing lab.§ Ability to read mechanical design document and software requirement documents including electrical drawings.§ Fluent knowledge of English.§ Computer skills mandatory, including Windows, Office, CAx (Siemens NX)§ Chinese native speaking skills preferred.§ Willingness to travel inside China and to GermanyGerman language beneficial.Soft Skills§ Strong planning and organizational skills§ Self-responsible working attitude and initiative§ High commitment for premium vehicles of Mercedes-Benz and quality§ Intercultural competence and communication skills with various hierarchy levels§ Analytical thinking§ Goal and result orientation§ Intercultural competence
